The factory is the operational core of the Cabo Pro Program. Without it, the seven-day Project Stock release is impossible. With it, cabinets become a programmatic supply line instead of a per-project negotiation.

The "is Mexico cabinet quality reliable" question

The honest answer: it depends on the manufacturer. Mexico-manufactured cabinets meet or exceed US quality standards when the manufacturer operates to North American spec, sources hardware from the same global brands feeding the US premium market, and runs proper finish-coating processes. Cabo's Mérida facility does all three. The 15 to 25 percent cost advantage over US-milled cabinets is the result of lower labor cost combined with USMCA tariff-free movement of finished goods, not lower quality.

Why USMCA matters

Cabinets manufactured in Mexico under USMCA move freely across the US border. Cabinets sourced from elsewhere (China, Vietnam) have faced shifting tariffs through 2025. The USMCA framework removes that uncertainty for the program term, and it removes a meaningful cost layer that other import sources still carry.

Capacity and program allocation

Production capacity is allocated to program agreements first. Spot orders ship after program releases. This is what makes a seven-day release window possible: program inventory is held at the facility, ready to release. Spot orders go through the standard build-to-order queue.

Factory visit

Serious program prospects are invited to the facility before signing. The visit covers production lines, quality control, hardware staging, finish booths, and the program inventory area. Most visits run a half-day. Cabo covers the cost of the visit for prospects who proceed to a signed program agreement.
